Our Suppliers and Sub-Contractors
We seek to establish mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors, based on integrity, fairness and respect. Working in partnership is fundamental to delivering high quality services to our customers across all the sectors that Summit serves.
Our strict pre-qualification and ongoing assessment processes encourages suppliers and subcontractors to match our high standards in respect of quality, working conditions, trading practices, health and safety and environmental protection - the benefits of which are passed on to Summit customers.
Sub-contractors
We only employ sub-contractors who demonstrate qualification, experience and registered trade membership e.g. NICEIC (where appropriate) relevant to their trade. Our sub-contractors are measured by the same key performance indicators as Summit and expected to follow the reactive and continuous improvement measures directed by performance feedback.
All sub-contractor follow Summit code of conduct and are selected on the basis of sharing our corporate values, which reflect our community, environment and health and safety focus.
Suppliers
We only partner with suppliers that have adopted similar environmental and sustainable processes in line with our ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. Summit is committed to making improvements in its sustainability performance consistent with the need to provide our customers with continuity of service, supply and competitive pricing.
Our supplier assessment ensures product quality, service levels and environmental credentials are consistently maintained. Our suppliers must :
- Respect fundamental human rights
- Have a positive impact on the communities in which they operate
- Be committed to a policy of equal opportunities
- Adopt best practices to its activities, wherever possible
- Continually monitor its environmental impact of its activities
